QUBIC Summer School
Thursday 12 & Friday 13 December, University of Queensland
Following the QUBIC Symposium we are delighted to bring you the inaugural QUBIC Summer School. This two-day event includes introductory and masterclasses on QUBIC’s three themes – Molecules, Cells and the Brain. These sessions will be interspersed with joint sessions on equity and diversity, as well as translatable skills such as science communication, scientific writing, and research translation. The event will provide social activities for participants to get to know each other and foster collaborative networks.
The Summer School is open to Centre EMCRs, students, researchers and external parties, providing a national upskilling resource in quantum biotechnology.

Cost to attend the Summer School
What’s included for QUBIC members?
Accommodation: On campus accommodation at UQ Women’s College, includes a single room with shared bathroom
Meals: Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner daily.
Bus transfers: Bus transfer from Noosa (following QUBIC Symposium) and to Brisbane Airport at the end of the Summer School.
What’s not included?
Airfares and other travel: Attendees will need to arrange their own airfares and other travel as required.

I am not a QUBIC member, can I attend the Summer School?
Those from outside QUBIC are welcome to attend the Summer School subject to availability. The cost to attend is outlined below:
Non-accommodation package – $120
This includes event registration fee and event meals (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) over the two days
Optional extras: Welcome dinner (Wednesday night) and Social dinner (Thursday night) $30 each
Accommodation package – $400
This includes event registration fee, 2 x nights accommodation (Wed, Thurs) and all meals
